Do you have a passion for food and dream of turning it into a business?
The Food We Love program is now open for applications!This free program is designed for serious food start-ups and early-stage businesses ready to strengthen their foundations and grow to the next level. Participants will learn from industry experts and gain practical knowledge to build or develop a successful food business or product.
This program supports women from vulnerable or disadvantaged backgrounds, including (but not limited to):
- Women from refugee or asylum seeker backgrounds
- Women facing barriers to employment
- CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) women
- Underemployed women
- Women looking to re-enter the workforce through small business
Eligibility:
Must live in the City of Whittlesea

Participants will explore key areas of building a food business, including:
- Business planning fundamentals
- Business setup, structures, and finances
- Brand creation and communication
- Customer identification and research tools
- Marketing strategy and social media
- Food safety and council registration
- Food regulations and labelling laws
- Presentation skills
- Final presentation night
